GoodSam Medical Center, in collaboration with the Philippine Heart Association Inc., hosted a successful Basic Life Support (BLS) training session for healthcare professionals last June 15-16,2024. The event drew over 124 participants, including nurses, doctors, and emergency medical technicians from various departments.

The training was led by PHA certified instructors and GoodSam Internal Medicine- Cardiologists Dr. Victor Jonathan S. Benitez, Dr. Maria Charisse Lim-Gutierrez, Dr. Richard Q. Amansec, Dr. Arnel G. Gabriel, Dr. Nieves and Dr. Canono.

The training focused on crucial life-saving techniques such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and choking relief for adults, children, and infants. The hands-on practice segment allowed participants to apply their skills in realistic simulated scenarios.
