GoodSam Medical Center recently celebrated a day of health, camaraderie, and friendly competition with its Fit and Fun Sportsfest, featuring thrilling basketball exhibition matches that brought together Goodsam doctors, nurses, ancillary staff, hospital admin, maintenance, security and Mavie. The event was held last August 2, 2024 at the Basketball Court, Lakewood Golf and Country Club.

The first game saw a spirited face-off between GoodSam MD San Miguel Team and Nursing-Ancillary Sunkist Team. The teams demonstrated not only their medical expertise but also their competitive spirit. The game was closely contested, with the Nurses-Ancillary Staff displaying impressive agility and teamwork, while the doctors relied on their strategy and precision. In the end, the doctors managed to clinch a narrow victory.

The second game featured a matchup between the hospital’s Mavie-Guard Purefoods Team and the Admin-Maintenance Alaska Team. This game was equally exciting, with both teams displaying enthusiasm and determination. The Admin-Maintenance team brought their organizational skills to the court, while the Mavie-Guard team, known for their hard work behind the scenes, put up a formidable challenge. In a thrilling finish, the maintenance team emerged victorious.

This Fit and Fun Sportsfest was also sponsored by RiteMED Philippines Inc. The event concluded with a brief awards ceremony, where trophies were presented to the winning teams, and a small token of appreciation were handed to each of the teams.
