GoodSam Medical Center proudly marks a milestone with the successful completion of its first angioplasty procedure at the newly operational GoodSam Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) last February 14, 2026.

The landmark procedure was performed by Interventional Cardiologists, Dr. Arnel G. Gabriel and Dr. Kristianne Emmanuelle Bagaoisan, in collaboration with the dedicated CVI catheterization laboratory team.

Angioplasty, also known as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), is a life-saving procedure commonly performed for patients experiencing chest pain or heart attacks due to narrowed or blocked coronary arteries. The availability of this service at GoodSam Cardiovascular Institute now allows patients in the region to receive timely, specialized cardiac intervention closer to home.
